Sponsored by the Harrisburg Chapter of the American Guild of Organists and First United Methodist Church.
Jeremy is a student at the Eastman School of Music studying organ performance with David Higgs and was the winner of the 2015 Regional Competition for Young Organists in Pittsburgh. His recital is made possible in part by the Clapper-Frysinger Fund of the Harrisburg Chapter AGO which presents rising young stars of our region in concert. The program will be titled “More than Just French Music”
The music of France is regarded by many as some of the richest and most beautiful. You will hear works by de Grigny, Widor, Vierne, Duruflé, and others. The program explores just some of several ways in which the organ music of France has set a high standard in beauty and aesthetic. More importantly, however, it will show how this repertoire played an integral role in French society, culture, and identity throughout the centuries.
For more information about the concert contact Shawn Gingrich at the church music office at (717) 533-9668 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. The program is free and open to everyone. An offering will be received.
