Friday, April 12
3:00: Arrive and pack up in church parking lot
3:15: Leave for Glen Dale UMC (8500 Springfield Road, Glenn Dale, MD 20769)
5ish: Stop for dinner and dessert (2639 Annapolis Rd, Hanover, MD 21076)
- Popeyes, Taco Bell, Subway, AND/OR Panera
- Boba Tea (2733 Annapolis Rd STE E, Hanover, MD 21076)
7ish: Arrive @ Glen Dale UMC
7:30 - ?: Games and hangout!
Saturday, April 13
7:15am: Wake-up, pack-up and breakfast
8:00: Leave for New Carrolton metro station (4700 Garden City Dr, New Carrollton, MD 20784)
8:20am: Board Orange metro line for Federal Center SW station
8:45am: Walk to Museum of the Bible (400 4th St SW, Washington, DC 20024)
8:50am: Arrive at Museum of the Bible!
9-2pm: Museum of the Bible
2pm: Walk to the National Mall
2:30pm-5:30pm: Botanic Gardens and National Air & Space Museum!
5:30pm: Food Truck dinner on National Mall by Washington Monument
6:30ish: Metro from Smithsonian to New Carrolton
7:00ish: Leave for home
10:00ish: Arrive in church parking lot
Packing List
- Sleeping bag and pillow (air mattress is optional, but recommended)
- Overnight hygiene items*
- A favorite game for Friday night (optional; must be a small box or card set if you do bring one)
- DC Metro card (if you have one from visiting the city before!)
- Clothes for Saturday - comfortable clothes and shoes for walking!
- $$ for fast food dinner on Friday night and lunch Saturday. ~ $30-35 should cover those meals. Bring more if you want Boba tea on Friday night and/or any extra treats Saturday in DC. Saturday breakfast and dinner are covered!
*There are no showers at the church we are staying Friday night. Maybe a good idea to shower Friday morning! :) You'll be okay for a day without a shower - I promise!
